Although UCC offers so much to explore both inside and outside the classroom, what I value most about being part of the UCC community is the feeling of belonging, especially within my house, McHugh's. Even something simple like house soccer creates a sense that we're all supporting one another. Many of us come out, even if we're not the best players, just to cheer, sub in, and support our team. Moments like celebrating a goal together or laughing on the sidelines have made UCC feel less like just a school and more like a second home.A student in Year 8
Being a part of this community has taught me so much. But something I deeply value is the brotherhood. Everyone has each other's backs, and we are very tightly knit and close. When I joined the school, everyone welcomed me as if I had been there for years, and that is one of the best feelings.A student in Year 6
As I come to the end of my time here at UCC, I have come to realize that one of the things that I value most about being here is the strength of my peers. Being in an environment where people have such unique and diverse strengths pushes me to excel and improve myself in all aspects of life. Being challenged and being encouraged to succeed is something that I truly appreciate about being here at UCC.A student in Year 11
Athletically, I'm privileged to have served on the U16A and varsity soccer teams. My strongest friendships were formed through these teams. I will be forever grateful for the experience of UCC's Oval, where I spent hours honing not just my individual soccer skills but also teamwork and discipline alongside my teammates. I have shared countless moments of laughter with friends on UCC's fields!A student in Year 12
What I value most about UCC is the sense of community. Teachers genuinely care about students, commonly asking about your wellbeing or how they are able to help you and are always open to extra-help sessions. My peers and friends consistently motivate and support me to do my best, and they are also a great source of entertainment and fun. I look forward to building more skills and friendships as this school year continues. I'm truly grateful to all the donors who have made my time here possible. Because of your support, I can access eye-opening opportunities, exclusive resources and unforgettable experiences that have had a meaningful impact on my life. Being a student at UCC has shaped me into a better person at school, at home and in the community.A student in Year 12
Something I value most about being part of the UCC community is how supportive and kind everyone is. Teachers take the time to help me understand my work and are always willing to answer my questions. Classmates are kind and very helpful when I ask them questions. I find that because of this supportive community, I feel more comfortable trying new things. The community makes me feel more confident and included at school. I want to thank all the donors for making my UCC experience possible. Some opportunities that are unique to UCC include higher-quality education, a wider and more innovative environment and a kind and welcoming community. UCC has greatly impacted my education and life. I'm truly grateful for your generosity.A student in Year 7
The academic rigour and support at the College are unmatched. Each class has dedicated teachers, numerous extra help sessions and engaging lessons. This has allowed me to expand my educational horizons beyond my imagination. UCC encourages me to push my limits and always seek more, a perfect learning model for me. This structure is very rewarding.A student in Year 10
